The Beard Center For Innovation

Made possible by a gift from longtime benefactor, the late Midge Beard Price, the Beard Center for Innovation (BCI) combines technology, 空间, and opportunities for collaboration into a learning experience that yields greater engagement and deeper understanding for students. The Beard Center is comprised of an innovation lab for idea development and a state-of-the-art maker空间 fully stocked with prototyping materials and manufacturing technologies.

The BCI opens up to the Roberts Family Library, enabling students to move from idea generation and collaboration to making, then to an area for thoughtful reflection, and then right into an area for traditional modes of academic work and research, all in one continuous 空间.

教师 across the school pilot and design various programs and classes for all grade levels. The Beard Center provides a hub for these innovative teaching and learning initiatives, which are centered on project-based learning and a collaborative, 有创意的, problem-solving process.
